There are numerous footpaths through the orchards and surrounding woods and we have a folder and maps of local walks. There are shore walks at Seasalter,Whitstable and Faversham.
This is a good area for seeing a variety of birds and there are several nearby RSPB sites including Blean Woods, Oare Marshes and Elmley Marshes.
Kent is a popular area for cycling and you are welcome to leave bikes in our garage which is locked at night.
There are several local clubs, including Boughton Golf Club which is about a mile and a half away.
The nearest beaches are at Seasalter and Whitstable, about four miles away. There are also swimming pools at Whitstable, Faversham and Canterbury.
Gardens to Visit
Mount Ephraim Garden is 5 minutes walk just down the road and Brogdale Farm, the home of the National Fruit Collection is 15 minutes by car. You can visit Belmont House, Dodding Place Quex House and Goodnestone Park in under half an hour. Further afield visits can be made to various National Trust and English Heritage properties.
